The Visiting Professors Program of Far Eastern Federal University is gaining popularity among Russian and international scholars. In 2016 216 visiting lecturers gave lectures to the FEFU students, whereas a year earlier 151 persons participated in the Program (87 ones in 2014). Recognized experts in various areas visited the University within the framework of the Development Program and Competitiveness Enhancement Program under the 5top100 Project.

According to the Office of the Vice President for Strategic Development, last year FEFU was visited by 121 foreign scholars from 27 countries, mostly from the Asia-Pacific region and Europe. The School of Natural Sciences (63), Oriental Institute—School of Regional and International Studies (46), School of Biomedicine (33), and School of Engineering (28) became the leaders in inviting visiting professors.

Far Eastern Federal University pays great heed to the academic mobility. The Visiting Professors Program aims at the invitation of scholars who received international recognition, their collaboration with the faculty, improving the quality of education, and strengthening of the FEFU positions in the global education space. The University becomes a good venue for visiting speakers to establish professional contacts in the rapidly growing Asia-Pacific region.
