Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) has become a platform for the federal project "Summer University". For two weeks, 24 students from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics will study international business and the digital economy under the guidance of leading FEFU faculty. The project delegates have already got acquainted with the campus, immersed themselves in the university environment and learned about the opportunities for higher education in the Russian Far East. Ahead of the participants are trips around Vladivostok, lectures from top speakers, project works with experienced mentors under "Social Design" educational track.

“The educational project “Summer University” was launched in 2021 at the initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. Last year we welcomed students from the friendly Republic of Belarus, and this time we are especially glad to see students from the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics in the walls of the Far Eastern Federal University. The University supports the key idea of the project that knowledge and communication have no boundaries, and we are pleased to see how more young people from all over the world are discovering the potential of Russian education and the Far East,” said Evgeny Vlasov, FEFU Acting Vice President for International Relations.

The educational program is based on the experience of Russian international business in the Asia-Pacific region. In two weeks, project participants will get acquainted not only with classical business methods, but also learn everything about technology entrepreneurship, big data analytics, and the basics of financial and digital security. In addition to the main educational module, the students will receive trainings on project thinking development in the digital environment from FEFU and the Primorsky Territory leading specialists.

Thanks to the Summer University, more than 670 students from nine countries will be able to gain new knowledge and get to know their peers at the sites of 14 domestic universities. The main goal of the project is to immerse foreign students in the Russian scientific and educational space and create sustainable international student communities based on the leading Russian universities.

The Summer University was first implemented in 2021 in the format of a large-scale educational project, within which about 600 students from the Republic of Belarus were trained in unique programs prepared by 12 leading Russian universities. 10 Belarusian students came to FEFU for the International Business and Digital Economy program last year.
