FEFU delegation visited the University of Malaya, Malaysia (87-th international QS ranking). During the meeting, FEFU President Nikita Anisimov and the President of the Malay university Abdul Rahim Hashim identified the most interesting areas for mutual cooperation - engineering, biomedicine, natural resources research, oceanology, data economy. The leaders of the two leading educational organizations in the region plan to begin interaction with the launch of academic exchange programs, subsequently moving on to joint research projects. Following the negotiations, the Presidents agreed on the signing in working order of a memorandum of interaction and an agreement on the exchange of students.

“The University of Malaysia is one of the most prestigious in the country; today it is among the top 100 universities in the world and annually raises its position. Cooperation between our universities will strengthen the position in scientific research, and students of the two countries have all the opportunities to assign the best competencies, practices, and experience in the framework of the interaction between FEFU and Malaya”, said Nikita Anisimov.

Moreover, as part of the work program, the delegation of Far Eastern Federal University visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Malaysia, where they met with the Minister-Counselor A.V. Revutsky and discussed ways to develop partnerships between FEFU and leading Malaysian universities. A.V.
