“Participation in international events is not only a valuable experience and unforgettable impressions for us, but also a responsible task of creating a positive image of Russian students. Showing our leadership skills, experience in debates and negotiations, as well as knowledge in the field of international relations and the work of the United Nations, we demonstrated a decent level of preparation and professionalism” said the delegation mentor Alexandra Kosyreva.
During the conference preparation, FEFU students also visited the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the PRC, the Russian Cultural Center in Beijing and the China’s Society for Collective Management of Copyright and Related Rights. Moreover, the young diplomats met with representatives of the Association of Russian Students in China and the Youth League at the Secretariat of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, discussing international youth interaction and prospective joint initiatives.
“Model United Nations of the Russian Far East is one of the most active student organizations at FEFU. Our students always represent the university abroad with dignity. Moreover, they perfectly organize international events for young people in the Far East. Victory in China is a clear proof for this fact. We congratulate our students on this achievement and hope for the further success!” said Igor Filippov, Head of the FEFU Department of Extracurricular Activities.
