International Festival "This is My Native Language!" at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) for the first time united students of Russia’s universities from 22 countries. Everyone is invited to choose the best creative performance. All the performances are presented on YouTube channel of the festival, you can vote using the link before March 30.

According to the FEFU Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, the annual festival is aimed at preserving the world's cultural and linguistic diversity. Participants in their video presentations reveal the history, specifics, beauty and richness of the world's languages, as well as the uniqueness of the culture of their native countries.

“This year, due to the epidemiological situation, it was decided to hold the event in an online format. This made it possible to attract many more participants, to receive brighter, more impressive materials from them. The open placement of all videos on Internet resources contributes to reaching a wider audience of viewers - which means that more people now and in the future will be able to get an idea of the different languages of the world. In addition, at the beginning of their speeches, the participants speak Russian about themselves and the content of the work. This contributes to the popularization and promotion of the Russian language”, said Anastasia Osipova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language, Institute of Oriental Studies - School of Regional and International Studies, FEFU.

FEFU is the main center of international cooperation and integration of Russia with foreign countries. One of the priority directions of the university's development is the "Eastern Vector", the most important aspect of which is the promotion of the Russian language and Russian culture in the APR countries. The University is actively working to strengthen international relations, strengthening the position of Russian education abroad. In the international network of FEFU partners there are more than 280 educational and scientific centers with which cooperation agreements have been signed, more than 3500 students from 74 countries study here.
