Victoria Panova, FEFU Vice-President for International Relations and Scientific Supervisor of the BRICS Russia Organizing Committee Expert Council, Managing Director of the National Committee for BRICS Research, visited the Republic of India (New Delhi). She took part in the events dedicated to informing the Indian public about the goals, objectives, and priorities of Russia’s Presidency in BRICS in 2020. Moreover, she took part in the meetings with representatives of the expert community, negotiations with leading research centers in India. At the same time, FEFU Representative Office was solemnly opened at Amity University.

At the invitation of the Indian colleagues, Victoria Panova participated in a session named “BRICS 2020: Road Map of Russia”, organized as part of the international conference “Raisina Dialogue”. Representatives of the political elite, experts and the media discussed the priorities of Russia’s Presidency in BRICS.

A press conference was held at Sputnilk India platform to inform the Indian public about the goals, objectives, and priorities of Russia’s Presidency in BRICS. Victoria Panova informed the leading media about the history of the association, the key tasks and central events of Russia’s Presidency.

Attending the closing ceremony of THE India Universities Forum, organized by Times Higher Education and Amity University, Victoria Panova noted the importance of academic ties between leading universities in Russia and India and also invited to participate in the activities of Russia’s Presidency in BRICS.

As part of the visit, a meeting was also held with the Director of Vivekananda International Foundation Mr. Arvind Gupta. The parties indicated an interest in intensifying cooperation and signing a memorandum between the fund and FEFU on mutual understanding and agreed to exchange draft documents. First of all, the Indian colleagues are interested in conducting joint research on the topic of geopolitics and a multipolar world, trends in the development of BRICS and future unification. The Russian side invited the representatives of the fund to take part in the activities of the expert track within the framework of Russia’s Presidency, as well as to join the event on the sidelines of the International Business Summit and Asian Research Conference in February 2020.

FEFU is launching a semester educational internship for students from Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, where young people from five countries can study together in the framework of educational programs that are popular and relevant for BRICS. The event will promote academic and cultural exchange aimed at intensifying social and humanitarian cooperation, strengthening dialogue and mutual understanding between BRICS countries.
