On December 8-18, Russky Technopark, jointly with the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) conducted Meet Asia online course on hi-tech business in the Asia-Pacific region. More than 120 students from FEFU, Vladivostok State University of Economics and Service, Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University (Vladivostok), Pacific National University (Khabarovsk), and Higher School of Economics (Saint Petersburg) applied for participation in the project.

The Meet Asia course is comprised of 4 lectures on aspects of technological entrepreneurship in Japan and China. Among speakers were SAMI LLC company CEO Hiroshi Makino, president of the Russian-Chinese Center for Innovative Entrepreneurship Vera Pronkina, co-founder of Geek Club hardware startup in Shenzhen Nikita Potrashilin and the Skolkovo Foundation representative in China Evgeny Kosolapov. Experts dived into the topics of Asian venture funds structure, features of negotiations with partners, as well as possible ways of internationalization. 

“Assistance to Russian Far East technological projects in entering Asia-Pacific markets is a priority for Russky Technopark. Since Technopark is concentrated on the development of student technological entrepreneurship, we strive to incorporate practice-oriented, dynamic events, where the youth can learn more about cases, based on real examples. The fact that during the Meet Asia event experts shared their “live” experience of business in the Asia-Pacific region makes it a truly unique project for the Russian audience”, – highlighted Russky Technopark CEO Dmitry Borovikov.

As the project finished, participants received certificates for completion of online-course. The course is available on Russky Technopark's official YouTube channel

Russky Technopark is a joint project of FEFU and Skolkovo Foundation, established in 2017 pursuant to the decision of Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin. Russky Technopark strives to create a technology entrepreneurship ecosystem for the innovative development of the Russian Far East by providing opportunities for young innovators, including FEFU students, and assisting them in entering Asia-Pacific markets. In 2020 Russky Technopark became the regional operator of Skolkovo Foundation.
