New academic exchange programs will become available to the students of the Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) in the 2018-2019 academic year. Talented students will be able to take not only foreign language courses but also courses related to their majors in the universities of the Asia Pacific. FEFU has over 130 foreign partner universities that offer exchange student opportunities.

As reported by the Office of the Vice President for International Relations, with the new academic year exchange programs with the most prestigious universities of Japan and the Republic of Korea became available to the FEFU students. For example, at the Osaka University FEFU students can study biomedicine, biology, and law, while Kindai University offers them courses on engineering and business administration, and at the Tokyo University of Agriculture they can study ecology, molecular biology, bio-industry along with environmental and agricultural engineering.

Seoul National University offers exchanges in all areas of training, while Handong Global University offers courses in computer science and engineering, and Korea University offers courses in law and international relations, while the Kangnam University offers courses in graphic design and virtual reality.

"In the new academic year the Far Eastern Federal University brings student exchanges with universities in the Asia Pacific to a whole new level. Due to the multitude of international partners our students can improve their knowledge of foreign languages and can obtain additional professional skills," said Valentina Dementeva, the Head of the FEFU Sector of Academic Mobility. "It is important to note that academic exchanges pose serious requirements to the applicants both on their academic merits and their foreign languages skills. We are ready to advise each of our students and to help them choose an optimal program."

More than 130 universities around the world offer FEFU students exchange program options. These exchange programs vary in duration (less than a semester, semester-long, and academic year-long options) and funding (with a tuition waiver, with a partial scholarship, or with a full scholarship at the hosting university). Students wishing to participate in the exchanges can browse the list of the FEFU partner universities, choose a preferred hosting university, complete their questionnaire, and submit their documents to the Sector of Academic Mobility.
