Nikita Anisimov, the Interim President of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) met with Peter Erickson, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden in Russia. The main topic of discussion was the opportunities for FEFU cooperation with the education and research centers of the European country.

According to Peter Erickson, FEFU and Sweden have significant potential for partnership: the diplomat supports joint research, primarily in the field of biomedicine, academic and cultural exchanges. The Ambassador was especially interested in inviting Swedish students to Vladivostok for international summer schools.

"I am sure that young people from Sweden will be interested in immersing themselves in the unique environment of Far Eastern Federal University at the crossroads of the cultures of Europe and Asia," said Nikita Anisimov. "We thank you for your support and look forward to fruitful cooperation."

Peter Erickson also expressed his admiration for the FEFU campus and noted that it is really the best in Russia. The Ambassador arrived in Vladivostok to participate in the Pacific Meridian film festival, where The Square Swedish film, awarded the Golden Palm at Cannes, was presented the day before.

Far Eastern Federal University is considered a truly international university, the leader of the internationalization of education in Russia. To date, cooperation has been established with more than 160 organizations: largest universities, research centers and businesses in 36 countries.
