The students of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) have identified the most promising areas of science and medicine. The discussion took place as part of the Medical Brainnet conference held at the FEFU Medical Center. The conference was devoted to scientists’ innovative developments researches in the field of restoring lost functions of the human body after diseases, traumas and other reasons.
During the conference, Future doctors and biophysicists from FEFU School of Biomedicine have identified four actively developing areas of work, each at the intersection of several disciplines. These include the use of neurocomputer interfaces, the introduction of cyborgization, the use of artificial intelligence and big data storage technology. In the next 10-15 years, each of them, according to the students, will undergo significant changes.
“Modern neuromodulation and treatment systems will be based on taking information about the state of human disease, inverting, analyzing, and sending it in the form of electrical currents or signals. These technologies are designed to provide better care to our patients,” said Artur Biktimirov, a functional neurosurgeon at the FEFU Medical Center.
FEFU Medical Center is a high-tech medical and research institution that meets the highest international standards. Students, faculty, and scientists are working together in developing new methods for treatments and rehabilitation of patients.
Today, FEFU Medical Center is equipped with the most advanced equipment and considered the best medical in Russia Far East. Over 30,000 surgeries have been performed here in the last five years. Some of them are unique not only for the region but also for the whole country.
