Alexandra Cherepanova, third-year student, School of Law, Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU), will participate in the prestigious international Miss Earth 2016 pageant in the Philippines. The only representative of Russia has already won several intermediate stages. The name the winner will be announced on October 29th in Manila.

The right to be called the most beautiful woman of the Earth will be contested by 92 participants. Last year, the FEFU student Alexandra Cherepanova won the crown of the Beauty of Russia national stage of the contest, and now she has decided to compete for one of the most prestigious titles of the planet, which is on a par with the Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Universe. The beauty of Primorye is determined to win, because the representatives of Russia have yet never been in the top three in the history of the show.

The FEFU student has successfully passed several stages: evening dresses and beach images competitions. She also visited the wildlife preservation for endangered species of Philippine eagle and Malagos Botanical Garden, where she planted her personal flower.

The Miss Earth pageant is held under the auspices of the United Nations. Its main goal is to draw attention to the humanitarian challenges of our time, to protect the environment and wildlife. This year, the participants will present their own projects on the environmental situation in the world, and the winner will represent the United Nations on the issues for the programs’ development of the conservation of the human environment on the planet. Alexandra Cherepanova is ready to tell about the ecology of the Primorsky Krai in the final competition.
