Students of the FEFU School of Engineering presented their developments in Moscow

Students of Far Eastern Federal University took part in the Winter School of the federal program “Microelectronics. 157 level" in Moscow. The project is aimed at students of the first and second years of technological specialties and is designed to acquaint them with the actual production process. The organizers of the educational intensity are the All-Russian Charitable Foundation Sistema, PJSC Mikron and the Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology.

The winter school included lectures, laboratory workshops and working meetings with specialists from Mikron, MTS, Clinical Diagnostic Center MEDSI, Kaspersky Lab and other large enterprises. Particular emphasis was placed on production automation, market trends, features of public speaking and issues of positioning their products.

During a working meeting with representatives of the Neurology Center of the Clinical and Diagnostic Center Medsi, FEFU students presented their project on the creation of a neurostimulator. The offer already has a potential customer in Vladivostok.

“For us, as for future engineers, it is very important not only to visit this production but also to update the goal and objectives of our project, to make it closer to the requirements of the market. Moreover, we already had ideas about launching a second product”, noted FEFU student Mikhail Lyamaev.

Next time the participants of the program “Microelectronics. 157 level" will meet at the Spring School in May. By this time, they will have developed their projects to be more attractive for partners and investors, taking into account the suggestions and comments received. The best student solutions will receive financial support and will enter the stage of prototyping with the prospect of launching into mass production.
