The presentation of Master’s programs was held at Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) on April 26. Students and graduates of the undergraduate program who wish to learn more about the possibilities for raising the level of their professional training were told about new and already established academic programs, rules for admission to the new academic year and existing platforms for career and personal growth.

Guests were offered to consider more than 100 academic programs for which 1,800 budget places are offered in 2019. Most of them were developed in cooperation with well-known FEFU partner universities in Russia and abroad, major companies, and the Russian Academy of Sciences. Among the first to be presented are the “World Economy”, created with the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, "Chemical Engineering", which is open in partnership with a group of companies SIBUR, and others.

One of the most visited was the stand of the FEFU School of Data Economy - a relatively young structural unit, opened in 2018.

“Very often graduates come up and ask not even a specific program, but a direction. They are interested in doing something in the field of data economy, they understand that this is relevant and promising, and our task here is to, to help them choose the right path. The Master's program is an opportunity to change the place on the labor market, increase the salary level, make a quality transition and start working with the projects you want”, said Ilya Mirin, Director of the School of Data Economy.

The School of Data Economy presented an exhibition of projects from students of the Digital Art program, so that guests of the event could get a closer look at the possibilities of the new direction.

“When training Masters, we work closely with other departments of FEFU. The “Mechatronics and Robotics” module of the Digital Art program, for example, would not be possible without close cooperation between the School of Data Economy and the School of Engineering”, emphasized Ilya Mirin.

The FEFU School of Education presented four Master’s programs: “Teaching Mathematics. Advanced Level”, “Physical Education and Sports ”,“ Modern Approaches to Teaching History and Social Studies”,“ Teaching Russian in the Context of Modern Science and Education ”.

Representatives of the Russky Technopark and the FEFU Project Activity Center told future Masters how to start a successful business and where to find partners or investors for it.

“This presentation is a real fair of opportunities; I am glad that today there are so many people here. Not only graduates, but also second-year students and third-year students approach the stand. We are happy to talk about our projects. For example, on the basis of the technopark there is a student office that allows you to work with one of the residents, regular lectures from successful businessmen are held. We also share how you can launch a startup and design it as a graduation project - it is this topic that is especially interesting to many”, said Tatyana Tokmakova, Assistant Director of the Russky Technopark.

The admission for Master’s of the Far Eastern Federal University starts on July 8 and ends on August 7 for budget-based places and on August 26 for contract-based places. Details of the FEFU admission campaign can be found in the “Admission” section at the FEFU website.
