Application

To apply for participation in the Russia Far East Summer School you would need to fill in the Online Application Form where among other bits of information you would need to provide:

  • Document-style photo (jpg or pdf format);
  • Scan of the first page of the passport used for international travels (valid for at least 8 month beyond stay) (jpg or pdf format);
  • Resume (either in English or Russian) outlining your academic and professional (if any) experiences (docx format);
  • Motivation letter (either in English or Russian) – this should be a letter that would give an answer to the question of why you would want to participate in our Summer School (docx format).

Visa formalities

 

For visits to Russia it is necessary to have a Russian visa.
No visa can be obtained in the airport by arrival to Russia.
To obtain a visa, one can apply to the nearest Russian Embassy or Consulate. To participate in the Russia Far East Summer School you would need to obtain a Russian student visa. Your international passport should valid be for valid at least 8 months beyond a stay in Russia, and must have at least 1 clear blank visa page available for the visa stamping.

In order to get a Russian visa you would need to have an Official Invitation issued by the Russian Federal Migration Service on the request of FEFU. 

FEFU Center for international promotion, tourism and Protocol will take care of all the Invitation letter formalities based on the information that you would have provided in the Online Application Form. We will submit all of your data to the migration officials and have your student invitation ready in about 30 to 40 days. After that, we will send you the original invitation by e-mail. You would need to take this invitation along with your passport when you will go to the Russian Embassy or Consulate. After obtaining a visa and purchasing of the tickets, please inform us about the dates and times of your arrival and departure to/from Vladivostok by filling in an Online arrival form.
 

Arrival

Please complete an Online arrival form before June 1.
Recommended arrival date are August 7-8. Recommended departure date are August 29-30.
Arrival and Departure transportation service is available only on the recommended Arrival and Departure dates. Recommended time of arrival is between 9:00 AM and 8:00 PM, no pick up service is available at other times. However, the organizers will do their best to meet you if you arrive at an uncomfortable time. In case you are worried about meeting you, you need to contact the school manager (patrakhin.viu@dvfu.ru). 

Registration

Once you arrive to the FEFU Campus you would need to have registration by the Office of Visas and Registrations. For this purpose you would need to provide our staff with the copies of all pages of your passport (please do not forget to do that). Your original passports, photocopies of all passport pages along with the migration card will be collected from you during the Orientation Session on August 9, and returned to you on the same or the following day.
