On May 21, Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) joined the “New Knowledge” online marathon, organized by Russia’s Knowledge Society. Students and staff of the university listened to popular science reports from prominent Russian experts in various fields of knowledge, as well as from Elon Musk. On May 22, the chairman of the Primorsky Regional Branch of Russia’s Knowledge Society, FEFU President Nikita Anisimov, and leading scientists of the university also delivered their reports as part of an online broadcast on the website marathon.znanierussia.ru.

More than 150 students participated in the conference with speakers and listened in real-time to an appeal from the Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov, took part in an open dialogue with the founder of Space X Elon Musk, learned about the current state of international relations from Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and figured out myths about Russian history at a lecture by Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky.

The educational marathon "New Knowledge" of Russia’s Knowledge Society is held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Sochi, Vladivostok, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad. The program includes more than 100 discussions, lectures, interviews, open lessons, and master classes.
