About School

The School of Education of Far Eastern Federal University is a higher educational institution located both in the city of Vladivostok and Ussuriysk, Primorsky Krai. This educational and research branch of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) provides teacher training educational programs and research work in the field of pedagogical sciences.

Founded in 1909 as the first training center in Russian Far East, the School of Education has firmly positioned itself among the most respected and dynamic schools in the region. From 1954 to 2010, the higher educational institution used to be the Ussuriysk State Pedagogical Institute. In 2011, it was reorganized into the FEFU School of Education. Now it is a modern educational institution with quality teaching, outstanding facilities, and academic services committed to providing educational undergraduate and graduate degree programs.

The Department of International Relations, Education, and Testing in Russian as a Foreign Language enrolls international students for various educational programs. It also provides students with information and visa support throughout the entire period of study.

The School of Education implements a complex program of continuous professional development for academic and teaching staff as well as the study of best practices to ensure quality training. This work is coordinated by the Centre for Professional Development of Education Workers, which implements supplementary education programs for children and adults.
