Fiber reinforced carcass composites based on cement binders:
strength characteristics and impact toughness

Abstract: This article presents the results of study of strength characteristics and impact toughness of building fiber reinforced composites made in compliance with carcass technology. In the experiment, three types of steel fibers of various shapes were used as dispersed reinforcement, the content of which was 1...3% in total volume. To improve the impregnation of carcass and reduce the viscosity of cement matrices, superplasticizing additives of Melflux 1641 F and Sika 5-800 brands were used. The effect of water saturation of the carcass on the strength properties of composites was also studied. Effective compositions of fiber reinforced carcass composites with improved strength characteristics and increased impact toughness were obtained. The developed materials can be used for manufacture of monolithic industrial floors, foundations and pavements, working under the influence of increased compressive, bending and impact loads.
Keywords: fiber reinforced carcass composite, cement impregnation matrix, superplasticizing.
