Generative design system for low-rise residential buildings

Abstract: The generative design is one of the types of computer-aided designs in which the architect’s role is to create a system of scripts and algorithms which enables one to automatically create the design of buildings through the pre-established suite of algorithms. The article considers the practical development of the system based on the author's algorithm intended for designing low-rise residential buildings which includes the analysis of the raw data, the creation of a three-dimensional solution, and the documentation of the result.

Key words: generative architecture, design methodology, algorithms, computer-aided design, parametric.
