Technology for reagent wastewater treatment with a high content
of sea water in fish processing enterprises

Abstract: The results of author's research from 2015 to 2019 of reagent wastewater treatment of an enterprise using sea water are presented, including the development and testing the technology of processing fish and seafood (by custom order of DalVODGEO LLC). The article features the process of reagent cleaning of wastewater with aluminum salts in the presence of magnesium and calcium ions of sea water, which are involved in the hydrolysis of aluminum ions with the formation of large, well-deposited floccules. The results of research on wastewater treatment are presented. The research team including the author used these results to develop an experimental installation and design a new industrial technology that allows removing up to 77–99% of various contaminants from wastewater containing sea water, as well as reducing the consumption of aluminum salt: by 30–50% due to the use of magnesium and calcium ions present in wastewater as a coagulant; and by 10–12% due to the recirculation of the resulting hydroxide precipitate.
Keywords: fish processing enterprises, sea water, wastewater treatment, reagent treatment, coprecipitation of calcium, magnesium and aluminum.
