Supervisor’s research interests

  • Fundamental researches of pathological processes and regeneration in surgical diseases.

  • Development of new approaches and methods of treating patients with surgical pathology.

Research highlights

Research using morphological, PCR and immunohistochemical diagnostic methods. Application of advances in nanotechnology in medicine. Use of modern laboratory, microscopic, surgical equipment.

The implementation of the scientific program will be carried out by representatives and founders of the scientific schools "Clinical morphology of visceral systems and the organ of vision", "Biological and medical approaches in the treatment of burn injury", which are considered leading scientists not only in Russia, their services are recognized abroad.

In the shared laboratories of the FEFU Medical School, the study of the regeneration of damaged structures of the nervous tissue in people of different age groups is being carried out: the effect of pharmacological drugs on embryogenesis, teratogenicity, and regeneration processes in the age aspect is being researched. There is experience in investigating the effects of radiation therapy after targeted delivery of nanoparticles to tumor targets.

FEFU guarantees financial, organizational and technical support for the activities of scientific groups. The university has the necessary working space and equipment for scientific research. FEFU has technical capabilities for conducting distance classes and for conducting lectures online in the information and telecommunications network Internet, which is confirmed by the positive experience of such broadcasts. FEFU is able and guarantees to ensure the work of young scientists at a high level.

As part of the program, cooperation and internships are planned abroad: at the International Medical Scientific and Educational Center (IMERC, Japan) and Niigata University (Niigata, Japan); Schepens Eye Research Institute (Boston, Harvard, USA), as well as in Russia at St. Petersburg Pediatric Medical University.

Companies for the production of pharmaceutical products from Russia and Japan, as well as manufacturers of medical products for use in various medical industries are involved in financing research projects.

Supervisor’s specific requirements

Applicant of the program must have a basic medical education.
